PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Lac du Bonnet Planning District (LDBPD) is developing a new Development Plan and the RM of Lac du Bonnet is updating its Zoning By-law. These documents help guide the future development of the RM and Town of Lac du Bonnet and are informed by residents' ideas and future visions for the area.
NOTICE
The Lac du Bonnet Planning District has given second reading of the new Development Plan (By-Law 01-2026). Thank you to all who provided comments through the public hearing process. The By-Law is now under review by the Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations' office. Review the Development Plan here.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ZONING BY-LAW 02-26 – BEING A BY-LAW TO ADOPT A ZONING BY-LAW FOR THE ENTIRE MUNICIPALITY
Council of the RM of Lac du Bonnet, under the authority of The Planning Act, will hold a PUBLIC HEARING at the: RM of Lac du Bonnet Municipal Office Council Chambers 4187 PR 317 on August 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
At which time and place the RM Council will receive representations from any persons who wish to make them in respect of By-Law No. 02-26, being a By-Law to adopt a Zoning By-Law for the entire Municipality. Representations may be at the Public Hearing or filing written submission before or at the hearing.
A copy of the above-mentioned By-Law No. 02-26 and any supporting material may be inspected/copied at the RM of Lac du Bonnet Municipal Office building, 4187 PR #317 during the normal office hours, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday to Friday upon request. Supporting material can also be reviewed at https://www.mrichardassociates.ca/ldb.

What is the Lac du Bonnet Planning District?
The Lac du Bonnet Planning District (LDBPD) is a development and planning district that encompasses both the RM of Lac du Bonnet and the Town of Lac du Bonnet.
Under the LDBPD, the RM and Town collaborate on planning the growth and future development of the District in the interests of the 4,627 residents who are proud to call this 1100 km² District home.
